The Tilden Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Prospect Heights Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tilden is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Tilden, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-46 loss to Medgar Evers College Prep. While losing is never fun, Tilden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 780th, while Medgar Evers College Prep is ranked 232nd).
Meanwhile, even though Boerum Hill scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Prospect Heights still came out on top. Prospect Heights escaped with a win against Boerum Hill by the margin of a single free throw, 57-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Prospect Heights.
Tilden's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Prospect Heights, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Tilden lost to Prospect Heights on the road by a decisive 66-52 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Can Tilden avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
