The Houston County Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 15th straight loss. They were outmatched by Brantley at home and fell 67-37. Houston County has struggled against Brantley recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Jayden Parks, who scored 28 points along with seven assists and six rebounds for Brantley. Parks hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Daylan Davis, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Houston County's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Brantley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.
Houston County will head out on the road to square off against Geneva at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Houston County in Alabama (Geneva is ranked 177th, while Houston County is ranked 451st). As for Brantley, Brantley and Florala will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
