Leading Belmont to victory were Damarion Calahan and Judah Baldwin. Calahan scored 23 points, while Baldwin scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. Denzell Ogle was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Thurgood Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Belmont, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Thurgood Marshall will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ponitz Career Tech at 8:00 p.m. Ponitz Career Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 454th, while Thurgood Marshall is ranked 207th). As for Belmont, they will head out on the road to face off against Linden-McKinley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
