Needville came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Brazos, but Haiden Hickman wouldn't allow it. The Cougars ended the year with a bang, routing the Bluejays 62-42 on Monday with plenty of help from Hickman, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Brazos' points.

Ayden Harris was another key player, putting up ten points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Needville still got an impressive performance from Trae Salazar, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 16 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cameron Wenzel, who posted four points in addition to 11 rebounds and four steals.

The win made it two in a row for Brazos and bumps their season record up to 11-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Needville, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Brazos has already played their next contest, a 69-58 win against Columbia on the 30th. As for Needville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-28 victory against Edna on the 30th.
