The St. George's Gryphons lost against the First Assembly Christian Crusaders two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. George's fell 60-53 to the Crusaders. St. George's has not had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead First Assembly Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danae Kennedy, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Kennedy is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlena Davis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
St. George's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11. As for First Assembly Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
St. George's will head out on the road to take on the Lynx at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lausanne Collegiate will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for First Assembly Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
