The Interlachen Rams lost against the Oak Hall Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Interlachen fell 49-42 to Oak Hall.
Despite the loss, Interlachen saw an underclassman step up: Kemontae Nixon scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Nixon hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Charles Bean was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Interlachen's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Oak Hall, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Interlachen won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bell at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Bell is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Oak Hall won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th.
