After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ville de Marie Academy, Thunderbird Adventist Academy were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They snuck past Paradise Valley Christian Prep with a 27-22 win. For Thunderbird Adventist Academy, this counts as revenge for the 54-16 loss Paradise Valley Christian Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Vika Olivarria, who scored nine points along with 13 steals and eight rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katy Bayer, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Thunderbird Adventist Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Paradise Valley Christian Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thunderbird Adventist Academy will take on Ville de Marie Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Ville de Marie Academy will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Paradise Valley Christian Prep, they will play host again and welcome Tri City Prep, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
