The Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles lost against the Northwest Christian Crusaders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Bourgade Catholic took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.
When it comes to explaining why Bourgade Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Juliet Botiller. Despite the final result, she scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Botiller hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nizhoni Rainbolt, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Bourgade Catholic's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12. As for Northwest Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Bourgade Catholic and the Cowboys will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Camp Verde focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday. As for Northwest Christian, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scottsdale Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
