Brockway has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Cameron County Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Thursday, Brockway suffered a tough 52-28 defeat at the hands of Redbank Valley. While losing is never fun, Brockway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 299th, while Redbank Valley is ranked 95th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brayden Fox, who threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns. Caleb Daugherty also helped out as he racked up 135 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Cameron County entered their tilt with Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Cameron County took their game at home last Friday with ease, bagging a 38-8 victory over Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Cameron County had established a 24 point advantage.
Malakai Zucal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 230 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. Maddox Baughman also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Redbank Valley's victory bumped their season record to 9-0 while Brockway's defeat dropped theirs to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Brockway against Cameron County when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 35-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brockway since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
