Choctawhatchee has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Navarre Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Navarre took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Choctawhatchee, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Choctawhatchee beat West Florida 44-38. Given Choctawhatchee's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while West Florida is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Navarre's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Walton Beach.
Choctawhatchee is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Navarre, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Choctawhatchee strolled past Navarre when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 45-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Choctawhatchee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
