Rosewood has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Union Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 511th, while the Spartans are ranked 232nd).
Rosewood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Hobbton 51-17 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Rosewood has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Union entered their tilt with the Leopards with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Union managed a 39-34 victory over the Leopards on Friday.
Ariyona Spearman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Centavia McKoy, who scored two points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Rosewood's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Rosewood was dealt a bruising 50-23 defeat at the hands of the Spartans when the teams last played back in January. Can Rosewood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
