The Shaker Bison will head out to face off against the Ballston Spa Scotties at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are still undefeated (Shaker has six wins , while Ballston Spa has seven dating back to last season).
Shaker barely beat Albany the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bison put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 14-1 win on Thursday. That looming 14-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bison yet this season.
Tom Case made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Shaker kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Albany didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, Ballston Spa got themselves on the board against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on Monday, but Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake never followed suit. They won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Scotties' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Michael Pritchard tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Ballston Spa's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nick Commisso, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Ballston Spa pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.75 runs across that stretch. As for Shaker, their record now sits at 6-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Shaker hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Ballston Spa struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
