After losing to North the last time they met, Murdock decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Murdock narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past North 30-28. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Murdock started the contest off right with 16 first-half points. Meanwhile, North couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 16-0 heading into the break. Murdock almost let the match get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it. The victory bumped their record up to 3-0. North are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Next week Murdock take on Oxford at 7:00 PM. As for North, they will face off against Sutton/Douglas.
