The Quitman Panthers entered their tilt with the Forest Bearcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Quitman took down the Bearcats 50-33 on Monday. Given Quitman's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Bearcats are ranked 83rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Quitman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but AIYANNA DEAR led the charge by going 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was AUDRIANA HARRIS, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.
