The Maumee Panthers will challenge the Ontario Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Maumee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Bowling Green an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Julia Coutcher was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Maumee got a massive performance out of Taylor Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Servais, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Maumee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in 11 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Ontario waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Minutemen 11-9.
Brinlee Kreger was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Dawson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three runs.
Maumee's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Ontario, their win bumped their record up to 21-6.
Maumee came out on top in a nail-biter against Ontario in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
