The Enderlin Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The contest between Enderlin and Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter wasn't particularly close, with Enderlin falling 69-50.
Enderlin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karson Gruba, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Preston Dawson, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, Enderlin were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Enderlin bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Enderlin and Warwick will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Warwick is ranked 80th, while Enderlin is ranked 81st). Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
