Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gray's Creek). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Douglas Byrd a 22-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by nine runs or more this season.
Amariya Green was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. August Kebort was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Gray's Creek pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Purnell Swett, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
