The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will face off against the Springstead Eagles at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wesley Chapel has three straight  victories, Springstead has three straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Wesley Chapel's defense heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They claimed a resounding  30-0 win over Sunlake.

 Tavion Cousin went supernova, rushing for 102 yards and two  TDs. He has become a key player for Wesley Chapel: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  80  rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Wesley Chapel proved: they limited Sunlake to a paltry 0.1 yards per carry. The team can thank  Kiyh Anderson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Wesley Chapel's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.24 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 4.8 on average over their last three games.
 Wesley Chapel's defense didn't let  the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was  Anderson with  three. He has been hot, having also posted five or more  total tackles the last six times he's  played.
Meanwhile,  Springstead played a tough  matchup  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through  a    48-20 loss at the hands of Wiregrass Ranch. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  28-6.
 Wesley Chapel will have to contain  Tysen Norton as he made an impact in Springstead's last game. He rushed for 141 yards and one  touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 246 yards and one  TD. 80 of those passing yards were hauled in by Austin Stanina.
 Wesley Chapel's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Springstead, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
