The Broadwater Academy Vikings will head out to square off against the Northampton Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Broadwater Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Atlantic Shores Christian a 14-0 shutout. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.
Ramsey Revelle was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Webb was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tatum Watson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Broadwater Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atlantic Shores Christian only posted an OBP of .062.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northampton). Everything went their way against King & Queen Central on Friday as they made off with a 27-7 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Ortavia Rogers was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and one triple. Makiah Upshur was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
Broadwater Academy pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northampton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Northampton's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Broadwater Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Northampton, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Broadwater Academy keep running through batters, or will the Yellowjackets buck the trend?
Everything went Broadwater Academy's way against Northampton in their previous meeting on April 4th, as Broadwater Academy made off with a 21-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
