The Astronaut War Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Cocoa Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Astronaut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Astronaut had just enough and edged out Merritt Island 6-5.
Madison Minch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Arielys Rosado was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Reynolds, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cocoa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Titusville 14-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since February 28, 2025.
Ember Gold made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Gold was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Cocoa got a massive performance out of Jerriana Pollard, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those doubles were Pollard's first of the season. Celine Lee was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Cocoa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Titusville only posted a batting average of .290.
With the victory, Cocoa broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Astronaut, their record is now 6-1.
Everything went Astronaut's way against Cocoa in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Astronaut made off with a 15-0 win. Will the War Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
