If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Bloomington. They will take on Centennial at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Bloomington strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 36 points per game.
Last Friday, Bloomington had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 51-40 win over Peoria. The success made it back-to-back wins for Bloomington.
Meanwhile, we expected Centennial to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Normal Community, and they did. Centennial have to be aching after a bruising 7-35 loss to Normal Community. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Centennial.
Bloomington's victory lifted them to 6-2 while Centennial's defeat dropped them down to 2-6. We'll see if Bloomington's success rolls on or if Centennial are able to steal their positive momentum.
