The Accelerate Christian Warriors had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 38-32 win over Amarillo Collegiate Academy on Tuesday. The win was just what Accelerate Christian needed coming off of a 84-51 defeat in their prior matchup.
Accelerate Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Myers, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals. Myers has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Leyendecker, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Accelerate Christian's win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-15. As for Amarillo Collegiate Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Accelerate Christian will square off against Holy Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Amarillo Collegiate Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Community Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
