FORESTVILLE, Md. - After trading leads three times,
Suitland (Forestville, Md.) snatched the lead for good when
Robert Wigfall ran for a touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over
Meade (Fort Meade, Md.) 46-25.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Wigfall in the second quarter, the Rams were up 19-14 at the half.
Suitland expanded its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored three times in the third, including once on a
Wesley Wolfolk touchdown run.
Wigfall and Wolfolk ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Mustangs. Wigfall scored three touchdowns on the ground and Wolfolk added two as well.
The defeat comes as a step back for Meade, which notched a 22-21 victory over Arundel in its previous outing. The loss broke Meade's three-game winning streak.
