After four games on the road, Rock Hill is heading back home. They will take on the Prosper Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Rock Hill will be strutting in after a victory while Prosper will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Rock Hill has not done well against Guyer recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Rock Hill walked away with a 52-41 win over Guyer. The win was all the more spectacular given Rock Hill's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Guyer is ranked 31st).
Rock Hill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dextan Hutchinson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Russell Garcia was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Prosper's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Little Elm. The match was a 27-27 toss-up at halftime, but Prosper was outscored by Little Elm in the second.
Rock Hill is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season. As for Prosper, they dropped their record down to 14-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Rock Hill strolled past Prosper when the teams last played on January 2nd by a score of 62-47. Will Rock Hill repeat their success, or does Prosper have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
