It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Turner had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Columbus Cardinals 10-0. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Olyvia Piranio tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Bue, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Genna Brown, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
