Sadly, the Jackpot Jaguars are still looking for their first win of the season after 14 matches. They fell 33-25 to Carlin on Friday. Jackpot has not had much luck with Carlin recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Carlin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylie Kennedy out in front who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kennedy is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Jeffries, who scored six points along with three steals.
Jackpot's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Carlin, their win ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-18.
Jackpot won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Owyhee at 2:30 p.m. on February 10th. Jackpot comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last 14 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Carlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
