Make it nine blowout wins for the Springfield Senators this season. They blew past Bloomington 58-34. The win was familiar territory for Springfield who now have three in a row.
Bloomington's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Tina Lenard and Sosi Dadekian. Lenard scored eight points along with three steals, while Dadekian scored eight points along with two steals. Lenard hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Embry, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Springfield pushed their record up to 18-8 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Bloomington, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-15.
Springfield will head out on the road to challenge the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Rochester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday. As for Bloomington, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Cyclones at 7:00 p.m.
