The JAG Jaguars put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Dothan by a score of 61-51. This was payback for JAG, who suffered a 68-67 loss the last time these two teams met.
JAG's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Friendly led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Friendly's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ladarrin Hooper, who scored 12 points.
JAG pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Dothan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.
JAG will head out on the road to face off against Stanhope Elmore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stanhope Elmore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while JAG is ranked 18th). Dothan will be home for the holidays to greet Percy Julian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Percy Julian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Dothan likes a good challenge.
