The Centralia Panthers came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to South Shelby for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-28 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Centralia, who have now won four games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Despite the defeat, South Shelby had strong showings from Charlie Roush, who scored ten points, and Belle Roush, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Roush hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games.
Centralia's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for South Shelby, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centralia will be home for the holidays to greet Moberly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
