The West Union Dragons suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-31 loss at the hands of Whiteoak. West Union just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Madison Stout and Emily Stapleton certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Stout scored six points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Stapleton scored four points.
West Union has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Whiteoak, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.
West Union's road trip will continue as they head out to face North Adams at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. North Adams presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Union in Ohio (North Adams is ranked 143rd, while West Union is ranked 655th). As for Whiteoak, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against East Clinton at 7:30 p.m.
