After two games on the road, Aquinas is heading back home. They will take on the Lakeview Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Aquinas pushed their score all the way to 78 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-78 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln Christian.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Bryant Stouffer, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. Dylan Andel was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Aquinas used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Lincoln Christian. And. Dillon Bohuslavsky made the most of the opportunity, scoring five points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Even though they lost, Aquinas were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lakeview pushed their score all the way to 65 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of York by a score of 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), Lakeview still had to take the loss.
Aquinas' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Lakeview, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Aquinas came up short against Lakeview in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 44-38. Will Aquinas have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
