6A Conference 7 recap November 13, 2013
Lake Braddock added to the longest winning streak in 6A Conference 7 this week by beating Lee, 70-14. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Bruins.
Lake Braddock took down the Lancers 70-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
David Symmes was a passing and rushing force as South County topped Annandale. He completed 4 passes for 58 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 111 yards.
LeVaughn Davis was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 130 yards on 19 carries as the Stallions beat the Atoms. Teammate Symmes added to the ground attack by rushing for 111 yards.
South County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Stallions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Symmes has thrown for 1,001 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Kevin Quigley has 25 catches for 453 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when South County's Quigley goes up against T.C. Williams's Timmy Rattanaphone.
Next week's game between Gerry Pannoni's team and the Titans will feature a good passing match up as Symmes will test his arm against Rattanaphone's defensive ability.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Stallions and T.C. Williams face off next week.
An important game coming up in 6A Conference 7 this week will be when South County takes on Dennis Randolph's team. At the moment, the Stallions are in second, while the Titans are in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when South County and T.C. Williams face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Stallions comes in having scored 466 this season, while the Titans have scored 220. South County scored 55 points last week as it bested Annandale.
James Poytheris' team led the league in scoring this week by notching 70 points on Lee.
