After flying high against Rockdale last Friday, Rudder came back down to earth. The Rudder Rangers took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orangefield Bobcats.
Despite the loss, Rudder had strong showings from Jaquise Martin, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points and four steals, and Kayden Holmes, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 19 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodrigo Salazar Gold, who posted two points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Rudder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.
