Frontier School of Excellence will head out on the road to face off against Training Center Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Frontier School of Excellence earned a 46-34 win over Kansas School for the Deaf.
Henry Uti was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Training Center Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down The Daniel Academy 55-36. Training Center Christian pushed the score to 42-22 by the end of the third, a deficit The Daniel Academy cut but never quite recovered from.
Training Center Christian found their leader in underclassman Creed Lopez, who almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, nine rebounds, and 18 blocks. Lopez is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alex Bryan, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Frontier School of Excellence's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Training Center Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Frontier School of Excellence skirted past Training Center Christian 49-46 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frontier School of Excellence since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
