Inland Valley recap September 10, 2013
Poly moved up to 376 from 485 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Inland Valley. The Bears were able to make move up by topping Ramona 45-14.
Vista del Lago was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. The Ravens defeated San Bernardino 20-19 earlier in the week.
Arlington's dynamic duo of Wyatt Moore and Ruben Kelly proved tough for La Quinta to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Moore threw for 147 yards and Kelly had 100 yards receiving.
The Lions' dynamic duo of Moore and Kelly proved to be unstoppable against the Blackhawks, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Chandler Drachslin provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Poly bested the Rams. He completed 7 passes for 125 yards and also ran for 7 yards. Drachslin's favorite target this week was Jeffrey Salamon, who caught 3 passes for 80 yards.
Kelly was the best receiver in the league this week as Arlington lost to La Quinta.
Moore put up the best numbers through the air as Patrick McCarthy's team fell to Danny Armstrong's team.
Devontre Hale was the best running back in Inland Valley this week. He ran for 96 yards on 10 carries as Dennis Brown's team fell to the Blackhawks. Teammate David Samuelu added to the ground attack by rushing for 87 yards.
The Bears took down Ramona 45-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Samuelu caught 3 passes for 50 yards in the win.
