The Middleton Vikings will take on the Eagle Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Eagle will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Middleton extended their winning streak to seven on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand Centennial a 10-0 shutout. Middleton's win was all the more impressive since the Patriots were averaging only three runs allowed on the season.

Ian Lenius tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jeremiah Keithley, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jedsen Aldrich, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Eagle came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 13-3 victory.
Andrew Palfreyman made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Palfreyman was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Mike Stebel and Brady Ford did most of the damage at the plate: Stebel went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Ford went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave Stebel a new career-high. Jack Swanstrom was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Middleton's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Eagle, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Both Middleton and Eagle just can't seem to miss. The Vikings have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Eagle struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Middleton skirted past Eagle 3-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
