It was a good run, but the McCurdy Bobcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 74-64 to Escalante. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
McCurdy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jeremaya Roybal, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds, and Ryan Montoya who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roybal has scored all season. Judah Duran was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
McCurdy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9. As for Escalante, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
McCurdy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-59 loss vs. Mesa Vista on the 10th. Escalante has also already played their next matchup, a 64-24 win against Questa on the 10th.
