Claremont will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Diamond Bar at 3:15 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Claremont had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They lost to Damien by a decisive 18-35 margin.
Meanwhile, Diamond Bar took care of business in their home opener. They snuck past Walnut with a 25-21 win.
Diamond Bar's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Claremont's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Diamond Bar can add another positive mark to their record or if Claremont can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Diamond Bar's step.
