Meanwhile, Montville pushed their score all the way to 61 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Plainfield by a score of 64-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (60), Montville still had to take the loss.
East Lyme's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3. As for Montville, they bumped their record down to 3-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
