Jackson put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the McClain Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Ironman/Ironladies have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Serenity Taylor's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Izzy Swisher was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Maddie Wright was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Swisher wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jackson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Jackson pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for McClain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
