The Bruceville-Eddy Eagles won the last time they faced the Chilton Pirates, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Bruceville-Eddy's way against Chilton as Bruceville-Eddy made off with a 60-39 win.
Leading Bruceville-Eddy to victory were Kalli Speasmaker and Elaina Mcculloch. Speasmaker dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 assists, while Mcculloch dropped a double-double on 27 points and 18 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Speasmaker posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Loren Sardenta, who scored ten points.
Bruceville-Eddy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-15. As for Chilton, they bumped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Meyer the next time they take the court. Bruceville-Eddy will host Meyer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chilton will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
