Liberty Hill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lockhart a 11-0 shutout. Gracie Garner was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in three goals all by herself.
Meanwhile, Glenn's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 5-0 walloping at the hands of Rouse. While losing is never fun, Glenn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Rouse is ranked 109th).
The victory made it two in a row for Liberty Hill and bumps their season record up to 3-6-2. As for Glenn, they dropped their record down to 8-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Liberty Hill was able to grind out a solid win over Glenn in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 3-1. Will Liberty Hill repeat their success, or does Glenn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
