2A Conference 14 recap October 1, 2013
Farmville Central added to the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 14 this week by beating South Creek, 59-12. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Farmville Central scaled the state rankings by moving to 150 from 176 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Scott Gardner's team was able to move up by besting South Creek 59-12.
Washington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brodie West threw for 59 yards and Daniel Maultsby had 38 yards receiving. On the ground Markel Spencer contributed 151 yards.
The Pam-Pack's dynamic duo of West and Maultsby proved to be unstoppable against Riverside, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Spencer was a passing and rushing force as Washington beat Riverside. Spencer's favorite target this week was Maultsby, who caught 4 passes for 38 yards.
Beddingfield's KAVAJAE ELLIS and JAVIUS NIXON led the league in both passing and receiving yards. ELLIS has thrown for 1,042 yards this season, while NIXON, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 19 catches for 447 yards. Sport Sawyer's team's Spencer leads the league in rushing yards with 658.
The Jaguars took down Jeremy Jones' team 59-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
