The Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Rauner Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Wednesday, Noble Street College Prep came up short against The Noble Academy and fell 31-22. Noble Street College Prep has not had much luck with The Noble Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ariana Bahena, who scored ten points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Akari McPhee was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Rauner, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They took a serious blow against Rowe-Clark back in December of 2023, falling 49-22.
Noble Street College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Rauner, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Noble Street College Prep couldn't quite finish off Rauner in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 31-29. Can Noble Street College Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
