Leading Genesee to victory were Aiden Croak and Conner Rouse. Croak dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Rouse scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Rouse's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Q Bannoura, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Genesee's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Memphis, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Genesee will take on Hamady at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamady presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Genesee in Michigan (Hamady is ranked 190th, while Genesee is ranked 741st). As for Memphis, they will head out on the road to face off against Capac at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
