The Columbus Titans will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cherryvale Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Saturday, Columbus ended up a good deal behind Liberal and lost 52-33.
Despite the loss, Columbus had strong showings from Katie Simpson, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds, and Grace Major, who scored 5 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Cherryvale had to settle for a 44-42 loss against South Haven on Friday. Cherryvale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins bumped Columbus to 1-2 and Liberal to 5-0.
Columbus suffered a grim 67-41 defeat to Cherryvale when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Columbus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
