Everything went their way against the Garrison Bulldogs on Tuesday as the Shelbyville Dragons made off with a 24-0 victory. The Dragons have beaten the Bulldogs the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.
Taylor Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Shelbyville got a massive performance out of Jayleigh Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. This will be Chireno's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Garrison, they will face off against Timpson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Timpson will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Garrison surely won't give up without a fight.
