Michael Galusznski and Aiden Kessenich did most of the damage at the plate: Galusznski went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Kessenich got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Galusznski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarius Simmons -Watson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for ACERO Garcia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on South Shore International with a sharp 17-5 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Andres Cruz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up five earned runs off three hits. Cruz was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Sebastian Villegas was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Edwin Soto also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
ACERO Garcia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Agricultural Science's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for ACERO Garcia, their record is now 7-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Agricultural Science has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 11 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like ACERO Garcia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
