As a matter of fact, Caldwell put up the most runs they have all season on Saturday. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Payette. Even if the Cougars couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Owen Moss made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Kammerman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Emmett, as they earned their first away win of the season. They put the hurt on Nampa with a sharp 16-7 victory on Friday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Logan Curtis tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
At the plate, Emmett got a massive performance out of Casey Coburn, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, Coburn posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Ryder Scheibe was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Emmett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Emmett's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Caldwell has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Emmett, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Caldwell keep running through batters, or will the Huskies buck the trend?
