Tempe was the  3-2 winner over Yuma when they last played one another  last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Buffaloes fell just short of the Criminals by a score of  3-2 on Wednesday. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Tempe actually scored more points across those five sets (106-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 9-25, 18-25,  18-16.
 Yuma got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Louise Prevots out in front who  had 13  digs, nine  kills,  and three  aces. With that strong performance,  Prevots is now averaging an impressive 5.1  kills per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Layla Culkins, who  had eight  kills, six  aces, three  digs,  and three  blocks.
Tempe's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Yuma,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 9-11.
As of now, neither Tempe nor the Criminals have any future games scheduled.
